Dembe Expands CSR Footprint with Abashweki FC Sponsorship

Dembe Trading Enterprises Ltd, in collaboration with Haco Industries, today announced a strategic partnership with Abashweki Football Club, the most decorated team in the Ntare Lion's League. The partnership will see Dembe’s Amara brand become an official sponsor of the team, reinforcing the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement through sport.
The Ntare Lions League is a prominent alumni football competition held weekly across various venues in Kampala and Wakiso, bringing together former students and fostering community, talent development, and sportsmanship.
Speaking at the official unveiling, Abashweki President, Leyton Karuhanga, welcomed the partnership:
“Amara’s support, both financially and through its products, will significantly strengthen the team. We are confident this collaboration will enhance our performance while contributing to the continued growth of the Amara brand.”
Team tactician Lewis Ainebyoona, a Uganda Premier League winner with Express FC, added:
“This partnership comes at a pivotal time as we prepare for the upcoming season. It positions the team to perform at a higher level, both on and off the pitch.”
Representing the Amara brand, General Manager Eugene Too emphasized the strategic alignment behind the collaboration:

Abashweki also maintains a strong association with Heathens RFC, Uganda’s record rugby champions, who were represented at the event.
